Get Metro Benefits from Your Work

metro_benefitsWashington traffic is notoriously awful. With so many public transportation options in our area, there’s no excuse for sitting in traffic everyday.

Whether you’re just now deciding to take public transportation, or you’ve taken it for years, one great reward for doing so is the SmartBenefits program that Metro offers.

SmartBenefits is a web-based program for employers that allows them to direct money from employee income packages to the magnetic SmartTrip card. The process is relatively simple to do and can be completed online.

If you are an employer who wants to set-up a SmartBenefits program, or you want your employer to set one up, all that’s necessary is the serial numbers from employee SmartTrip cards. Once the cards are registered, employers can add benefits amounts to them between the 1st and 15th day of the month for the upcoming month.

All the information on the SmartBenefits program can be found HERE.
