Give Natural Love to Your Valentine With Organic Roses

roseMany people are attracted to those natural beauties who forgo make-up, shine in earth tones, or live for the outdoors. Celebrate natural beauty this Valentines Day with flowers grown sans pesticides.

Why buy these flowers? Pesticides and fertilizers are pretty gross, they tend to get washed away by rain into our lakes, rivers, and ground water supply causing algae blooms which make fishing, swimming, boating and drinking impossible. These are not sexy outcomes for our planet.

If you’re searching for roses in DC, you could always ask President Obama for a few from his rose garden, or you could check out our local Farmers’ Markets where you can ask the farmer if his/her roses were grown organically and in what location.

Of course, if you have difficulty finding local, organic roses, there is no reason why you can’t break the mold and buy a flower native to DC that is grown organically. Because a rose is still a rose by any other name.
