Have a Slumber Party at the Zoo

Sleepy.

Sleepy.

Imagine waking up to the sound of elephants, lions and exotic birds. If you attend a Snore and Roar at the National Zoo, you can wake-up with the animals.

The Smithsonian National Zoo offers an incredible opportunity to sleep inside the zoo and get special private access to many of the exhibits at night. Snore and Roar is a summer program that begins with a two-hour guided tour of an animal house or exhibit area. Later in the evening, participants enjoy a late-night hike through the zoo. Four-person tents are provided and all the participants camp out on Tiger Hill, under the stars. In the morning, wake to the sounds of the animals and enjoy a morning activity, followed by breakfast.
