Lose the Chlorine Smell in Your Tap Water

WaterThe Feds have announced the addition of disinfectant chemicals into our drinking water from April 6 to May 4. This is becoming an annual tradition for our drinking water as officials work to kill microorganisms and clean our water pipes.

As a result of the disinfectants, you will detect a chlorine-like taste and smell in your drinking water. This is not necessarily cause to discontinue drinking tap water, as it is the most eco-friendly water option and is constantly monitored for dangerous contaminants.

Rather than abandoning tap water altogether, you can try two different options to remove the chlorine taste & smell. First, use a Britta filter. Second, simply fill a pitcher with tap water and refrigerate it over night.
