Earth Day Events in DC Beginning this Weekend

Earth Day is April 22nd, but this weekend begins the week long celebration in the nation’s capital. Dozens of events are going on Saturday in communities around the area.

The National Zoo is hosting a cleanup and recycling event Saturday morning.  So stop by, recycle your old cell phones and learn more about our furry and not so furry friends that live at the zoo.

And on Sunday head to the National Mall for music, games and exhibits.
