DC’s Dept. of the Environment Greens Schools

2711293621_7f4ce7f2c6The District Department of the Environment has launched a “Green Schools” initiative aimed at expanding environmental education public, public charter and private schools.

Staff from DDOE are visiting local schools and helping with campus clean-ups and tree plantings. In addition, DDOE hosts programs at the schools on issues like recycling, conservation, energy efficiency and public transportation.
