The District Department of the Environment has launched a “Green Schools” initiative aimed at expanding environmental education public, public charter and private schools.
Staff from DDOE are visiting local schools and helping with campus clean-ups and tree plantings. In addition, DDOE hosts programs at the schools on issues like recycling, conservation, energy efficiency and public transportation.
You can visit DDOE’s Green Schools site and request an assembly at your school. To see a full list of upcoming programs, click HERE.
