Eastern Market Building Re-Opens

chikmanThe historic Eastern Market building on Capitol Hill closed two years ago after a fire gutted the building. Now, the centerpiece of the DC landmark has been restored and is open for business.

The building renovations cost $22 million and include upgraded heat/air conditioning, restrooms, Wi-Fi, and fire sprinklers. New space for art and cultural activities was also added.

The District says all the old vendors are back and moved into their new space. To read more about the re-opened Eastern Market, check out the market blog on their official website.
