DC Government Saves Money Through Conservation

2271647729_351096429dThis week, the District Department of the Environment and the Office of Property Management begins an initiative aimed at saving money through energy conservation.

Across the District government, employees areĀ  encouraged to take steps to reduce their energy usage. They are asked to sign a pledge to participate in the energy conservation program and work to reduce their individual impact wherever possible.

The Mayor’s green summer job corps will provide tips and advice on where employees can start making cuts.

The program is aimed at 22 District facilities and runs from July 20 to the end of August.
