Green Business Profile Wednesday: The Remix
I love fashion. So I when joined the blogging team for CityRenewed, I knew that I had to do a business profile of something related.
This week, I want to introduce the concept of “green” in another way. Green can mean buying products from recycled materials, but it can also be about reusing the old.
Remix is just that. It is a vintage boutique situated on Pennsylvania Ave that sells accessories, dresses, coats, and more. Fortunately, this week, my camera was acting normal, so I got to take some fabulous pictures of the store.
I went inside and sat down with Stacey DiTata to talk about her store. Owner Stacey has had years of experience in the retailing industry. She opened the store so that she could present vintage clothing in a contemporary way. Since then, her store has been talked about in a number of magazines like Washingtonian and Washington Post. She named the store “Remix” because vintage meant bringing back the past and making the old ‘hip’ again.
I was really amazed by the quality and style of the clothing. If you really love vintage or just want something different, visit her site www.remixvintage.com
