Green Goblin lives up to his name

In case you’ve been thinking that the only thing green about Crystal City is the reflection off the office windows on a particularly dull afternoon, think again. Of late, Crystal City has been implementing what it calls ‘Crystal City Green Scene’  whose activities range from a tuesday afternoon farmer’s market to free wifi in its (admittedly not plentiful) green spaces.

Lots of fun is their yearly series of free outdoor movie screenings aired every monday night. Last year was an audience with James Bond, while this year they’re stretching their acting muscle with all manner of Superhero films. Mondays at sundown all through the summer and into early autumn, consider wandering over to get your fix of open air action.

The next thing they should work on is getting the Crystal City shops to reduce their energy consumption (particularly at night) and start a recycling program!
