Green Business Profile Wednesday: Flow Yoga Center
Five years ago, I went to a yoga class at a neighborhood gym with my mom. I thought was going to be very slow and boring because everyone in the class was a lot older than me. However, after the first hour, I was already out of breath. My legs were sore, and I had a hardly balance myself.
My point is that yoga isn’t easy, but it is great way to find your inner self and smooth out your frustrations with the outside world. As you might have already guessed, I am a big yoga fan and have been practicing since.
This weekend, I found a great place for eco-friendly yoga. The flow Yoga Center, which is located near Logan Circle, and is accessible using the Dupont and U Street Metro Station.
Designed to minimize impact on the environment as much as possible, the studios use low voc paints, have bamboo floors, and incorporate recyclable components like doors. Furthermore, this yoga hub practices sustainable design through their daily choices, such as purchasing used material for office use and buying glass instead of plastic ware. The center also contains a small gift shop, which sells products from eco-friendly suppliers: yoga wear made from organic cotton, soy candles, etc.
If you are up for something different, you have got to come to Flow Yoga Center. There is something for everyone!
