National Public Lands Day – This Saturday

National Public Lands DayThis coming Saturday is the annual National Public Lands Day which is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands we enjoy.

Whether it’s building trails, cleaning up trash, removing invasive species, or even building a butterfly garden, here is a chance to give back and make the outdoors even more enjoyable.

City Renewed contributor, and Trail Voice editor,  Ian Edlind covers National Public Lands Day on TrailVoice.com

You can also tune into the Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU 88.5 FM Thursday afternoon from 12:00 – 1:00 PM to hear a special program about outdoor volunteerism.

Hundreds of sites in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area could use your help.  Find a site today to volunteer, and bring your friends and family because nothing is better than being outdoors with friends.
