Anacostia HOURS (/Anacostia Hours Inc.)

Anacostia HOURS is a paper money system as valid and taxable as US dollars and used the same - except they are earned through direct service only, issued by a local community organization (Anacostia Hours Inc.), and useable only within the immediate local community (Mt. Rainier, Brentwood, North Brentwood, Hyattsville and surrounding areas). Each HOUR is equivalent to $10. Anyone can earn, accept and pay with HOURS if they want, whether regularly or occasionally. Anacostia Hours Inc. members make a written commitment to accept and use HOURS.
