DC Government Saves Money Through Conservation

This week, the District Department of the Environment and the Office of Property Management begins an initiative aimed at saving money through energy conservation.

DC Going Dark for Earth Hour

Washington is joining 1,500 cities and going dark for World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) Earth Hour on March 28th. In addition to the many area companies and organizations participating in Earth Hour, the Washington National Cathedral, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Judiciary Square, American University, Howard University, Gallaudet University, the National Theater and the Masonic Memorial in Alexandria will be shutting off their lights beginning at 8:30pm.
