Each year, Greater DC Cares organizes a Servathon in DC. It’s like a volunteer marathon for thousands of locals interested in completing projects at nonprofit organizations and public schools in the greater metropolitan area. On Saturday, May 2nd, anyone can participate in projects like painting schools, building play grounds, cleaning up parks and more. In exchange for your work, you will recieve a t-shirt, snacks, water and an invitation to the wrap-up party where beer and food will be served to all the participating volunteers.
