Green Business Profile Wednesday: Sweet Green

A while ago, when I was just getting settled in D.C., a friend of mine from high-school told me about Sweet Green. She claimed that out of all the restaurants in Georgetown, it was the “best place to go.” I was skeptical. What’s the big deal? It’s only salad and plain yogurt.

I wanted to find out the truth, so I headed to Georgetown with my roommates this weekend.

As I expected, the restaurant was jam packed with students and tourists. It was a quaint, little place. The first thing that caught my eye was the menu, which was made of compressed flower seeds and could be planted.  The cashier also mentioned that the restaurant was built out of antique hickory.
